Populism in Historical Perspectives

Routledge has released a new book »Understanding the Populist Shift«. The book aims to contribute to it with some original ideas, by throwing a critical glance at the political discourse of the far and extreme right populist movements.In one of the book chapters Giovanna Campani and Mojca Pajnik, our Peace institute colleague, address the nonlinear historical development of the concept of populism in a variety of national and local contexts.

Top politicians and figures from the worlds of business, culture and NGOs complete the line-up of 40 European Young Leaders in the Class of 2017. This year director of Peace insitute Neža Kogovšek Šalamon is nominated for European Young Leaders 2017.

Regional overview of Public Service Media models in South East Europe

Within a regional project South East European Media Observatory, the Peace Institute, in cooperation with partner organisations, produced a regional comparative overview of funding and governing models of the public service media in nine countries of South East Europe: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Hungary, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Slovenia.

ProsPol conference

To mark the end of it four-year activities, COST Action ProsPol, Comparing European Prostitution Policies: Understanding Scales and Cultures of Governance will host an international conference Displacing Sex for Sale in Copenhagen, 29-31 March. ProsPol includes management committee members Mojca Pajnik and Iztok Šori from the Peace Institute.
