
Iztok Šori, PhD (Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana, 2012), is researcher at the Peace Institute. In 2003 he received the Faculty of Arts Award France Prešeren for interdisciplinary diploma work Prostitution in Slovenia: an insight into the hidden population (actors, image problems and relations). After graduation he worked as a journalist and in 2007 he received the Robert Bosch Foundation Fellowship for training at the Berlin School of Journalism and newspaper TAZ - Die Tageszeitung. So far he has been involved in research projects at the various institutions in the areas of prostitution and trafficking in persons, violence against women, gendermainstraming, women's representation in politics and migration. In his PhD thesis he studied social and individual contexts of being single as a lifestyle in Slovenia.
