Born in June 1973. He graduated at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Social Sciences in November 1998. His thesis was awarded Student’s Prešern Award and later rewritten and published as a book “We, the others” (Škuc, 2001). He received his MA degree in April 2002 from the same faculty. In June 2005 he defended his PhD thesis “Intimate Citizenship: Personal Choices, Public Policies and Everyday Life of Gays and Lesbians He worked as a journalist at the Radio Slovenia from 1993 to 2000. From 1998 to 2001 he also worked as a volunteer for Association against Violent Communication. He has been working for the Peace Institute since 2000 as a researcher and co-editor of the annual Intolerance Monitor Report. Since 2004 he is also a lecturer in gay and lesbian studies and sociology of families at the Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana. Since 2007 he is an editor of the GLBT magazine Narobe (Wrong).
