Saša Panić has studied linguistics and comparative literature at the Faculty of Arts, University of Zagreb. For several years he has been a freelance journalist, and has been, amongst other, contributor to the Glas Istre, a regional daily, and Feral Tribune, a political and satirical weekly. He has also been the member of editorial team of Balcanis, a magazine for cultures. In 2004, he joined the National Focal Point of the European Union Agency for Fundamental rights (former European Monitoring Centre on Racism and Xenophobia), which is administered in Slovenia by the Peace Institute.
