Methods of cooperation between police and NGOs in border procedures

»Access to International Protection: Methods of Cooperation between Police and NGOs in Border Procedures«, International »Train of Trainers« seminar of the Peace Institute and Legal information Centre for NGOs – PIC, 9 – 11 November 2006, Grand Hotel Union Garni, Ljubljana.

The aim of the seminar is to offer knowledge and experience of non-governmental organizations in the Republic of Slovenia, for groups of trainers from Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Serbia in the field of monitoring of border procedures and access to asylum procedures (i.e. border monitoring). The groups of trainers (from each of the three countries six trainers attended the seminar) will carry out seminars in their own countries in order to raise awareness on the importance of monitoring of the border procedures and access to asylum procedure, as well as to assess the possibility to establish border monitoring mechanisms in their own countries.

The seminar is part of the project AENEAS – Protection of Asylum Seekers in the Republic of Croatia and the Region, coordinated by the Croatia Law Centre from Zagreb.
