The Winning Jumps of Some Employed Fathers

The project will contribute to awareness raising of fathers, executive and management personnel and the inhabitants in Ljubljana surroundings (most probably in Kamnik or Domžale) about the possibilities to active contribution of men to gender with a key focus on taking equal share of care and household obligations in the private sphere. It will contribute to eliminating gender stereotypes and the elimination of traditional gender roles in order to achieve greater gender equality within the family and in the labor market. It will raise awareness among employers about the measures for the active involvement of men in the equivalent of taking care and domestic responsibilities in the private sphere is not only a reward to employees, but also bring many benefits to all.

The main goal of the project is through experiential way of some employed fathers in at least two organizations in Ljubljana surroundings (most probably in Kamnik or Domžale)  contribute to promoting men into more active involvement in care work with children. It is the individual approach in a way that both executive and managerial personnel as well as working fathers will be encouraged to take an active involvement in the shaping of measures for the active involvement of men in the equivalent of taking care and domestic responsibilities in the private sphere. The final list of measures that will be available in a particular company will be coordinated and therefore it is expected to benefit from a greater degree of practical and sustainable approach of the implemented measures. There will be emphasis on identifying obstacles encountered in practice and in finding in particular those measures which will have no financial implications. The opportunity to select the measures and to adapt to each specific workplace and working conditions will be given.



Project execution

  • Training and education: workshops with managers and executives or human resources department and employed fathers in at least two selected companies and organizations in Ljubljana surroundings.
  • Diverse dissemination activities within the content scope of the project will be implemented.
