Aleksandra Kanjuo Mrčela, PhD
Aleksandra Kanjuo Mrčela is a professor of sociology of work and economic sociology at the University of Ljubljana, FSS; from 1999-2001 she was a visiting scholar at the London School of Economics and Political Sciences. Since 2004 she is a member of the European Commission Networks of Experts in the field of gender equality. She was Vice-Dean at the Faculty of Social Sciences (2007 – 2011). She researches and publishes on economic position of women and work-life balance in Slovenia and abroad.
The project focuses on fathers in precarious forms of employment and fathers at managerial positions at the point of work-life balance, and addresses employers with implementation of ‘fathers-friendly’ measures...
The monograph tackles problematic relations between the labour market and fatherhood.
