First “Citizens’ Panel” in Estonia

From 30th of March to 1st of April the first “Citizens’ Panel” of the Parliament for the Future of Europe project took place in Tallinn (Estonia). Partners from seven EU countries and local citizens discussed the theme of digital transformation and the recommendations that emerged from the Conference on the Future of Europe. An inclusive debate was held on the regulation of the internet and social media, ways to prevent disinformation and hate speech, and the importance of educating different target groups about the advantages and disadvantages of digital platforms.

The next “Citizens’ Panel” will take place on 27th of May in Évora (Portugal) on Stronger economy and social justice, organised by Portuguese Women’s Platform.
