Awareness-raising, workshops and training on the early detection and prevention of radicalisation
The Peace Institute, in cooperation with the Legal-Informational Centre (PIC) as the lead partner and under a public procurement contract awarded by the Government Office for the Support and Integration of Migrants (UOIM), is implementing a project aimed at the early detection and prevention of radicalisation. To this end, awareness-raising and training activities are taking place in various Slovenian cities and are intended for local actors who may detect early signs of radicalisation in their professional work (e.g. social welfare and educational institutions, law enforcement and religious communities).
Based on the insights and experience gained through the trainings and meetings, the project team will prepare a training manual with guidelines for the early and timely recognition of risks and early signs of radicalisation among individuals, as well as guidance for reporting to the competent authorities. In addition, recommendations for further steps in the field of radicalisation prevention at the community level will be developed.
