In the Name of the Author: The Impact of Author’s Rights on the Production of Books and Reading
Mini-Symposium and the meeting
The symposium was opened for the broader public and integrated the wider public into the debate about the economic dimension of the rights related to the intellectual property and its social effects. The meeting was a preparatory meeting for joint research activities in the European research scheme. Experts from Slovenia, Croatia, Austria, Italy, and the Netherlands initiated a joint research group. All renowned experts in their fields – jurists, sociologists, economists and similar profiles of experts – joined together with an intention to overcome the limitations of their professional knowledge and to respond to contemporary social problems related to the intellectual property, the position of culture and the access to cultural goods.
