On the occasion of the publication of the document The recommendations are aligned with the EU LGBTIQ Equality Strategy 2026–2030, developed within the framework of the ENACT project, we present a comprehensive set of evidence-based measures aimed at more effectively preventing and addressing anti-LGBTIQ+ hate crimes. The document draws on extensive research conducted between 2024 and 2026 across six EU Member States and offers concrete proposals to improve legislation, strengthen institutional responses, ensure more stable funding for civil society organisations, and establish safe reporting mechanisms. The recommendations are aligned with the EU LGBTIQ Equality Strategy 2026–2030 and represent an important contribution towards a more coherent, fair, and inclusive European space in which victims of violence and discrimination are properly protected and supported.
