Women in Migration and Vulnerability for Trafficking in Human Beings

The international seminar aimed to provide a comparative analysis on trafficking in human beings, specifically with women and children and the risks for being trafficked in the regional context, that is in the CEE countries, the Balkans and in the EU member states. The seminar focused on human rights aspect and trafficking with human beings was considered from the perspective of victim and the protection of their rights.
Participants of the international seminar addressed topics, such as conceptual and methodological issues, trafficking in women and children, sex industry, forced labor and policy responses on the level of EU, national level, intergovernmental and non-governmental level.
apers presented at the conference were published as conference proceedings in book edition Politike Symposion (editor Mojca Pajnik). The book entitled Women and Migration was edited by Simona Zavratnik Zimic, 2004.
