Symposium of the Research Program Group: Work, Law, and Methods in Times of Social and Technological Change
7. 10. 2025 | Politics

At this year’s symposium of the Peace Institute’s research programme group, held on October 3rd, we examined how labour, legal practices, and research methods are shaped within the context of current social and technological transformations. The presentations shed light on transformations of labour through the lens of sex work, the challenges of detecting and exposing sexism in Slovenian online news through machine-assisted targeted sampling, and issues of communication data retention in relation to privacy protection and the rule of law. In addition, the symposium opened a discussion on the methodological development of research practices and offered insight into its dimensions and implications for future research on topics addressed at the Peace Institute.
