1024-1365.jpg2From 21 to 23 May, Ljubljana hosted the third meeting of the international consortium project Empowering Migrant Voices for Local Integration and Inclusion, which is implemented in Slovenia by the Peace Institute, the Gmajna Cultural Society, the City of Ljubljana and the Association of Municipalities of Slovenia. In the Ljubljana City Hall, good integration practices were presented by Katarina Štrukelj, Director of the Office for Migrant Care and Integration, Tilen Božič, Senior Advisor for Social Activities of the Municipality of Idrija, and Irina Karamarković, President of the Graz Migrant Council.

Together with the project partners, we also visited the Info Point for Foreigners, the Workers’ Counselling Centre, Slovenian Philanthropy, and Info Kolpa, where Furkan Güner (Intercultural Dialogue) and Daniel Nzotam (African Village Institute) presented their work in the field of integration, and the Rosa Choir (introduced by Maida Džinić) also sang for us. We concluded the partners’ study visit with a Migrant City Tour with Aigul Hakimova, which took place on the route: AKC Metelkova – Asylum Center Kontnikova – Center Rog.
