Co-creating the Script for a Sound Walk
28. 10. 2026 | Human Rights and Minorities
People with lived experience of migration are co-creating the script for a sound walk through participatory workshops. Through conversation, shared experiences and collaborative writing, fragments of personal stories, memories and reflections on everyday life and the future are woven into the script.
An important part of the process is reflecting together on which experiences to include and how to express them. Participants co-create the content, contributing their perspectives and suggestions to shape how aspects of their experiences will be presented to listeners.
Personal experiences are connected with broader social questions of belonging, exclusion and coexistence. Attention is also given to how social conditions and institutional barriers shape everyday life and opportunities to participate in society. This collaborative process explores how listening to different voices can help challenge established perceptions of migration and create space for social dialogue.
The sound walk will invite listeners to listen attentively and reflect on the experiences of people living in the same society. Fragments of personal narratives will intertwine with the spaces encountered along the walk, raising questions about how we experience these spaces and the meanings we attach to them. The sound walk will be presented in December.
