Non-profit Management: Opportunities for Slovenian-Moldavian Co-operation

The main goal of the two-phased project was to increase co-operation between the two countries for capacity building in the tertiary sector. Participants had the opportunity to exchange their knowledge – serving as a starting point to discuss possible joint work in the future.

Project execution

The project was divided into two phases:
1. Participants got the opportunity to exchange information on the general nature of the tertiary sector, they discussed the legislation status of NGOs and talked about social, youth issues and cultural services in both countries. Practical work was organised in workshops relating to the following topics: strategic planning, fundraising, human resource management (Moldova, 6-11 April 2002).
2. The Moldavian participants had a closer inspection of policy-making processes, as well as the lobbying and legislation activities of NGOs in Slovenia. They exchanged information and discussed possible future co-operation with the following organisations: Info Škuc, Drog Art, YHD-Youth Handicapped Depriviledged, the Peace Institute, PiC-Legal Information Centre, the Brežice Youth Centre, MKC (Cultural Youth Centre Koper), and the Youth Department of the City Council of Ljubljana (Slovenija, 14-19 May 2002).
