Routledge Published a New Book on Prostitution

Assessing Prostitution Policies in EuropeOnce again, prostitution occupies a prominent position on public and political agendas, both nationally and internationally. A topic of concern and interest within social and academic realms, it is a highly moralised, contested issue that is at the centre of heated and drawn-out debates.

In the book Assessing Prostitution Policies in Europe Iztok Šori and Mojca Pajnik published a chapter on policies and practices in the field of prostitution in Slovenia. The book, co-written by Synnøve Økland Jahnsen and Hendrik Wagenaar, is the first attempt to compare the regulation of prostitution in the context of Europe in 21 countries. The release was made possible by Routledge, a new series of Interdisciplinary Studies and Sex for Sale.
