Military-specific risk factors for the well-being and health of military families – MilFam

The research project represents the first comprehensive study of military families, which will include risk factors at different socio-ecological levels, the goal of which is to determine the strength and direction of their influence on family health indicators. In addition, we will include a comparison with civilian families, with the aim of identifying military specifics. A proven model of risk factors for family health will enable various stakeholders (eg, military support structures, military leaders, teachers, social workers) to identify the problems of military family members and know how to address them.

Project manager/coordinator: at the Peace Institute, the project is led by Živa Humer; the manager of the entire project is Janja Vuga Beršnak, FDV.
