Research network FRANET

The Peace Institute, as part of the FRANET research network and contractual partner of the EU Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA), which established the research network, has the task of collecting relevant national data and performing research services for the aforementioned agency in the field of fundamental rights covered by the agency’s mandate ( eg equality and non-discrimination, racism, asylum, migration and integration, border and visa policy, children’s rights, data protection, access to legal remedies).

The collection of data and the implementation of research tasks are carried out on the basis of ongoing orders from the FRA. From 2023, the Peace Institute carries out tasks and prepares national contributions as part of the FRANET in cooperation with the Institute of Criminology at the Faculty of Law in Ljubljana.
